Seattle is now among 60 or so cities throughout the world with a Ferris Wheel. The iconic wheel was first developed in the summer of 1893 at the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. At that time, a 20 minute ride cost 50 cents compared to the average $12 today. For those visiting Seattle, the toughest question you'll have to ask yourself is to whether spend that $12 during the day or night. Here are some photos I took around 9PM. It was a bit chilly, but the view was magnificent.
RUMOR: New York to build world's tallest ferris wheel in 2015 standing at 625-foot-tall on Staten Island overlooking the Statue of Liberty and the downtown Manhattan skyline.
